Tired of typing the same password every time you open a PDF? Enter it once and download an unlocked copy that opens directly. The tool also removes printing, copying and editing restrictions. Everything runs in your browser - nothing is uploaded.
How to remove a password from a PDF
- Select or drop the protected PDF.
- Type its password. If the file opens without a password but cannot be printed or copied, leave the field empty.
- Click Unlock PDF and download the new copy.
When is unlocking useful?
- Bank statements and bills that ask for your date of birth or account number each time.
- Your own documents where printing or copying text was disabled.
- Files you need to merge, compress or edit - most tools need an unlocked PDF.
Please use it responsibly
This tool does not crack or guess passwords. It only works when you know the password, and it is meant for documents that belong to you or that you are allowed to change. To add a password again, use Protect PDF.
