Edit PDF Metadata - Change or Remove PDF Properties

Every PDF carries hidden document properties: a title, the author's name, the program that made it and the creation date. They show up in browser tabs, search results and file details - and sometimes reveal more than you want. This tool lets you view, edit or remove PDF metadata in seconds, privately in your browser.

How to change PDF metadata

  1. Select the PDF. Its current properties are loaded into the fields.
  2. Edit the title, author, subject or keywords (separate keywords with commas).
  3. Or tick Remove all metadata to clean the file completely.
  4. Click Save PDF and download.

Why edit PDF properties?

  • Better titles: browsers and Google show the PDF title instead of the file name - a clear title looks more professional and helps SEO.
  • Privacy: remove your name, company, software version and dates before sharing a document publicly.
  • Organization: keywords and subjects make files easier to find in document systems.
