Your documents are private. Unlike most online PDF services, PAYATE PDF Tools never uploads your files. Every tool runs inside your own web browser, so your PDFs and images stay on your device from start to finish.
How local processing works
- When you open a tool page, your browser loads the page and, when you pick a file, open-source PDF software (pdf-lib, PDF.js) written in JavaScript.
- The file you select is read into your browser's memory - it is not sent over the internet.
- The software creates the new PDF or images on your device.
- You download the result directly from your browser's memory. When you close the tab, everything is cleared.
What this means for you
- No server copies: there is nothing to delete later, because we never have your files.
- Safe for sensitive documents: contracts, bank statements, medical papers and ID scans are never exposed to a third-party server.
- Fast: no upload or download wait - the speed depends only on your device.
How you can check it yourself
Open a tool, load the page, then turn on airplane mode or disconnect from the internet after the first file has been processed. The tools keep working, because the work is done on your device. Advanced users can also watch the Network tab in the browser's developer tools and see that no file is transmitted.
What is collected
Like most websites, we use Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which collect standard technical data such as pages visited. They never receive your files. Read the full privacy policy.
