Banks, phone companies and payroll systems love password-protected PDFs. Your statement opens only after you type your date of birth or account number - every single time. If the document is yours and you know the password, you can save an unlocked copy in a few seconds.

How to remove a PDF password
- Open Unlock PDF.
- Select the protected PDF.
- Type its password (the one you normally use to open it).
- Click Unlock PDF and download the new copy. It opens directly, without a password.
The file is processed inside your browser, so your statement and your password are not sent anywhere.
PDF opens but cannot be printed or copied?
Some PDFs have no open password but block printing, copying or editing. Leave the password field empty and click Unlock PDF - the new copy has no restrictions.
Common bank statement passwords
If you do not know the password, check the email or letter that came with the statement. Common patterns are your date of birth (DDMMYYYY), the last digits of your account or card number, or part of your name followed by digits. Our tool does not guess or crack passwords - you need the correct one.
What to do after unlocking
- Merge several statements into one file for a visa or loan application.
- Compress the result if the upload form has a size limit.
- Store the unlocked copy somewhere safe - or add your own password.
Frequently asked questions
Can you unlock a PDF without the password?
No. Our tool only removes a password you already know. It is meant for your own documents.
Is unlocking a PDF legal?
Removing the password from your own document, or one you are allowed to change, is fine. Do not unlock documents you have no right to access.
Will the content change?
No. The pages are copied exactly into a new, unprotected file.
Is my password safe?
Yes. It is used only inside your browser and never uploaded.
